Sandy Leitch, 57, is undoubtedly one the most experienced, influential and respected leaders in the financial services world.

Sandy’s chairman and CEO record is outstanding, with his extensive knowledge spanning life assurance, general insurance, banking, asset management, and venture capital across Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the USA.

After joining Hambro Life (later to become Allied Dunbar) at 21, Sandy quickly moved through the ranks to the top position. In March 2004 he retired as Chairman and CEO of UKISA and Asia Pacific Division, of what by then had become Zurich Financial Services.

Sandy’s role in the industry has been a prominent one. He was chairman of the Association of British Insurers and is non-executive director of Lloyds TSB, BUPA and United Business Media.

In 2004, Sandy was awarded a Life Peerage and is currently chairing ‘The Leitch Review of UK Skills’.
