Are you using 32 or 64bit versions of Windows?

Windows 8 users

On your keyboard press the Windows key+E to open a Windows Explorer window, then click Computer, and then System Properties

In the screen that opens, in the System section look for the line that says System Type. It will tell you here if you are running a 32 or 64bit version of Windows.


Windows 7 And Vista users

Click the Start button and then Right click on 'Computer' in the start menu and select properties.

In the screen that opens, in the System section look for the line that says System Type. It will tell you here if you are running a 32 or 64bit version of Windows.


Windows XP users

Click the Start button and then Right click on 'My Computer' in the start menu and select properties.

In the screen that opens, in the System section, in the first couple of lines if you see the words "x64 Edition" then you are running a 64bit version of XP. However, most people will be using the 32bit version of Windows XP and you wont see this phrase.
